I’m coming out here becouse many artists don’t come out here. They act like this part of the planet doesn’t exist. Jeru The Damaja really loves hiphop and he doesn’t just do it. You know, that’s why you see, when I’m sellin` my cedeez I only sell ‘em for ten lev. Cuz I know the kids don’t really has money like that, but I want them to have the music. Know’I'm sayin’..

So i want you to know when you translate it on your website that Jeru The Damaja really loves the kids and that’s why he does it. He’s here for them! You know I’m sayin’.. He’s gonna always come back year, after year, after year, after year! So don’t worry about what your seeing on television and commercial stuff, even it ain’t in Bulgaria. Hiphop just do hiphop like you know it! Don’t worry about what you see on television and try to please everybody else, cuz that how the hiphop started from. We wasn’t worried about what was on television or what was happening, cuz it didn’t involve us. So here in Bulgaria, do the same thing! I know you have ghettos, I know you have slams, I know you have hard times cuz this is a poor country! This is just like the ghetto where i come from. Just do the hiphop how you feel it! Rap about the things that you know about! And it will be real dope!

Keeping it real means be true to yourself. if you’re a priest, be a priest, if you’re a muslem, be e muslem, if you’re a jew be a jew! That’s keepen’ it real!

A-a, man you’re askin’ a question you know what’s up! Of course I enjoyed the show! I enjoyed the audience because I love doin’ what I do! And I love doin’ what I do not because I’m happy to be on stage, but I do it, I love it, becouse I love to make the kids happy! When I see their faces and I know that, I gave them something they probably thought they wll never get and it makes them feel good and it makes me feel good!

What was hiphop ten years ago and how it is now?

To me, Jeru The Damaja, it is still the same but, I’m glad hiphop has become commercial and globalised, and not becouse of the bullshit that’s going on, becouse if it wasn’t that commercialization of hiphop I wouldn’t be here today, in Sofia! It wouldn’t be this worldwinde taht we know if we kept it strictly underground! Everything has it’s place, so the commercial thing has it’s place, but the place it has is to rise the guys like me to the top, to come to see guys like you, in Sofia.

Is the connection between elements of hiphop still alive, like it used to be….

You see me, I beatbox, I scratch, I know how to break, I can write graffiti…I mean just do hiphop! if you’re real hiphop, You’re real hiphop, If you’re in it just for the money, you’re in it just for the money! It’s two different things. I’m a hiphop at the heart!
